Setting up printers shared on LAN
short notes on how to share a printer on the local network
- on the cupsmachine with the printer, put "Browsing On" and enable the local network in the security settings in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
- on the other machines, also enable browsing. In ubuntu, that's in /etc/cupsd-browsing.conf
- as root, do /etc/init.d/cupsys restart on all machines, and start chopping down forests!
